Notes

OFF THE RECORD compiles Makaya McCraven's four EPs released October 2025 (Techno Logic, The People's Mixtape, Hidden Out!, and PopUp Shop) into a single physical package.

Together, the four EPs (and Off the Record compilation) mark McCraven’s first recorded offerings since 2022’s In These Times, and a return to the signature “organic beat music” approach that Makaya first debuted on his 2015 album In The Moment and further developed on Highly Rare (2017), Where We Come From (2018), and Universal Beings (2018).

Out October 17, 2025

New for the one-year anniversary (October 30, 2026): Off the Record is now out digitally with a new bonus track, "Bright Lights" (featuring bassist Junius Paul, guitarist Matt Gold, and saxophonist Caroline Davis), built from a June 2017 recording at McCraven's residency at The Hideout in Chicago. "Bright Lights" is also available as a limited edition phonograph flexi disc, designed by Aaron Lowell Denton with photography by Shannon Marks, shipping on or around November 27, 2026.

Shipping & Returns

Orders ship from our Chicago warehouse. In North America, records and other media go out via USPS Media Mail with tracking. International orders also ship from Chicago via USPS; any customs duties or import fees are paid on delivery unless collected at checkout. Outside North America, our international store ships many titles from warehouses in Europe and the UK, so VAT is included and there are usually no import fees on delivery, and it's often faster and cheaper.

Anything ordered together with a pre-order ships when the pre-order arrives, so place a separate order if you'd like in-stock items sooner. Print-on-demand merch is made to order and ships separately.

If something arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, email orders@intlanthem.com with your order number and a photo and we'll make it right.

Shipping policy  ·  Returns & refunds

The shared characteristic that unites all four releases, though, is McCraven’s uncanny ability to alchemize hip-hop from jazz, structure from freedom, a collective effort into a singular vision.
